While most days we see these two gondolieri, this was a classic 'kodak moment' that we just couldn't resist photographing.
This is one of the streets that we use to get home - it's a shortcut created because they are doing work on one of the bridges. It's actually a really well built temporary wooden bridge.
I absolutely love this place, it has a gorgeous feel to it and the other side of the house is covered in plants - it feels like you're in a forest.

You see these little roof top 'decks' throughout Venice. Most look absolutely incongruous and ugly but you can see why they build them - we wish we had one!
