Double Ds - Decoration and Drawing

Last time I was in Venice I was really inspired to do some drawing - there are so many amazing features on the buildings and in the squares. So this time I've come prepared with a sketch book and pencils. Fi and I are planning to do a few drawing and photography excursions through the city and I can't wait! Here are some things I've photographed so far.

I am obsessed with all the lions in Venice - I love lions (something to do with being a Leo perhaps?) and they are so majestic and diverse here. I have only photographed a few so far but I will be doing lots of drawings.

This was quite a small bronze (about 30cm high) on someone's door just near us on Zattere a massive 'boardwalk' that they call Venice's beach.

This is from a roof in one of the Biennale venues - the show itself was terrible but the roof was amazing, I took a tonne of photos and would like to do some drawings of them but also play with them in terms of graphic designs.
